European School Copenhagen is looking for teachers who can teach Science, Biology, Chemistry and Math in Danish. The job is a permanent position in our Lower Secondary department (6.-9. Grade) and can either be part-time or full-time role between 80-100%.

We are seeking candidates who can teach

  • 8th Grade in Science
  • 9th Grade in Biology
  • 9th Grade in Chemistry
  • 9th Grade in Advanced Math
  • 2 Co-teaching periods per week in the above subjects

We expect that you

  • have the appropriate educational qualifications to teach the above subjects in Lower Secondary (Folkeskolens 6.-9. klasse)
  • have experience in international or intercultural education
  • have focus on student learning and wellbeing in accordance with the school’s values
  • have a desire to contribute to the ongoing development of the school
  • enjoy collaborating with international colleagues on learning and development
  • are independent and robust and can navigate a changing everyday life

The ideal candidate will have

  • strong social and communications skills
  • proficient IT skills  
  • proactive approach to school development

About the school
European School Copenhagen (ESCPH) is an international school funded by the City of Copenhagen. ESCPH opened in August 2014 and has three language sections, English, French and Danish, from nursery class to secondary 7 (3.G).

ESCPH is an accredited school within the established European School system, following the rigorous educational requirements for European Schools combined with Danish pedagogy and working guidelines.

The mission of the European Schools is to provide a multilingual and multicultural education for nursery, primary and secondary students and thus have a very strong focus on language learning. Students begin to learn their first foreign language in Primary 1 and are later taught several subjects, including History and Geography, in their first foreign language.

Terms of employment
Start date is as soon as possible. Salary and terms of employment according to KLF agreement.
